I've been a Democrat since I first started voting back in the stone age.  I have always voted for the Democratic ticket in every election. I will again.  I'd rather die than sit an election out or vote for a Republican. It's not even a matter of loyalty, it's common sense.  I don't understand those who would cut off their own noses to spite their faces and not vote at all unless their candidate is the nominee.
Welcome to MY world in which my candidates never get past the starting gate. I was for Gore. I was for Edwards.  I was for Dean, etc. Long before that I was for RFK. I'm for the Democrat.  Whoever the hell it is. We can't afford four more years of GOP insanity, war, poverty, desperation and hopelessness.  It's kicking the stuffing out of us. Worldwide! We must win back the White House and Congress asap. Only then can we hold the current administration accountable for their crimes. They'll get away with all of it if McCain wins in November.  He's ONE OF THEM.

Straight talk?

I hate that our fate is in your hands Iowa. I hate that you get to decide for me. I hate that my voice isn't heard, again. Most of the time, you've not only ruled out my first choices but also my second. I haven't quite forgiven you yet. But I want to.

I had a few very busy days last week. Life upon life's terms intervened and I couldn't get online as is my wont. I already thought I was under stress due to deadlines, obligations; then my mother had a heart attack. An MI. Myocardial Infarction. That changed everything...again. A very heavy smack on the chops. I've been at the hospital most of the time, and things have gone well, upbeat prognosis and some fun political banter with hospital personnel of all stripes.  
I logged on to dailykos and was irritated to find I'd lost my TU status. It was the final smack in the face after several exhausting days; CCU and rising to the occasion and dealing with real life...and it just pisses me off. I'm no longer trusted.

While the cat's away, the mice...shall play?

While the kos army is busy crashing further gates in Chicago, howzabout some pure frivolity? It's how I cope with the incessant pounding of injustice after injustice.

The Moron-in-chief was sent out for an "impromptu" press conference to plant more seeds implicating Iran in his wars. Transcript and video. He stumbled along, hemmed and hawed, inarticulately spouted lies and ridiculed the pre-screened "press" allowed onto the White House grounds.

The GOP pResidential trial balloons need to be burst. The same machine that sold us Lieboy as a "uniter not a divider" and a "compassionate conservative"   is slapping the lipstick onto more pigs from the same mold.  In the GOP pocket-lining tradition of putting crooked selfish pigs into office....let the slathering begin.
