Obama has topped Hillary AGAIN today.

Shortly after Hillary announced that she would introduce legislation capping the number of troops in Iraq, Obama has come out with a statement stating that he will introduce legislation calling for a phased withdrawl.

He's got chops my friends....

Yeah, you read that right.  Lieberman has joined the growing chorus of Right wing nutbags who claim we are in World War 3.  Where, in hell, did he say this you ask?  Why of course on the uber-right wing Glenn Beck Radio Show.  Greg Sargent over at (the now dead) TPM Cafe has done the dirty deed of listening and transcribing the show for us:

The Hill is reporting the possibility of Senate Democrats stripping Joe of his Committee Assignments.  If the Democrats takeover in November, Joe would become Chairman of both the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committees.  Yes, those would be the ones in charge of investigating many Bush policies and actions.

Regardless of the results on Tuesday, everyone should be proud that because of our energy and our passion, and Ned Lamont's strong campaign style, the state of Connecticut has registered 21,840 new Democrats since May.

In the Connecticut U.S. Senate race, Ned Lamont (D) has surged ahead of Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-CT) and now holds a razor-thin 51% to 47% lead among likely Democratic primary voters, according to a new Quinnipiac poll.

Wow.  Even the Health and Human Services Secretary did not get the new Medicare bill right.  It is being reported that his parents have had to switch plans "after learning that the one they chose imperiled their retiree medical coverage."

Robertson: Sharon punished for dividing Israel

"The Rev. Pat Robertson said Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is being punished by God for dividing the Land of Israel. Robertson, speaking on the "700 Club" on Thursday, suggested Sharon, who is currently in an induced coma, and former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, assassinated by an Israeli extremist in 1995, were being treated with enmity by God for dividing Israel. "He was dividing God's land," Robertson said. "And I would say, Woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course to appease the E.U., the United Nations or the United States of America. God says, This land belongs to me. You better leave it alone."

Well, this sounds like it's going to become a very big story.  Here is NBC's vague statement:

"Unfortunately this transcript was released prematurely. It was a topic on which we had not completed our reporting, and it was not broadcast on 'NBC Nightly News' nor on any other NBC News program. We removed that section of the transcript so that we may further continue our inquiry."
