So as I’m putting stuff to bed.
Checking my diary of yesterday; I'm 54 and I have a new brother: A tale of 2 different people finding their DNA family then checking Facebook and finally Twitter.
I notice that my Twitter feed is blowing up over Milo Yiananasshole. What? ! The conservative, white nationalist darling who was wearing so many fake pearls on Bill Maher last Friday that he looked like he took a wrong tun at Albuquerque and meant to be first at Mardi Gras instead.
It seems that the American Conservative Union which hosts CPAC published their speakers list for this year and Milo is listed as their keynote speaker.
That hasn’t gone over well.
Many criticized the move because Yiannopoulos is not seen as a traditional conservative — if a conservative at all. Instead, Yiannopoulos is seen as the figurehead of the alt-Right movement, a movement that prides itself in nationalism, which many accuse of racism and anti-Semitism. — The Blaze
And then a video surfaced of Milo defending pedophilia.
Then on Sunday morning, less than one day after the controversial announcement about the CPAC speaker lineup, video surfaced of Yiannopoulos allegedly defending pedophilia in the past.— The Blaze
Now let’s be clear what Yiannopoulos is saying and how he is defining pedophilia, because it is important in his denials later on.
He’s saying pedophilia doesn’t exist if the child/young teen has fully functioning sex organs, someone who is physically sexually mature.
He also states that the the idea of consent is arbitrary and oppressive.
But the money quote, where Yiannopoulos confirms every anti-gay trope, especially having gay men as teachers is here:
In the homosexual world, particularly, some of those relationships between younger boys and older men — the sort of ‘coming of age’ relationship — those relationships in which those older men help those young boys discover who they are and give them security and safety and provide them with love and a reliable, sort of rock, where they can’t speak to their parents,” he added. — Joe.My.God
embolden mine
This is a power relationship, where the older male “helps” the younger male discover his sexuality. How does the older man know what it the questioning teens sexuality is? Who knows, but it confirms the worst of what those who are anti-gay, especially when it comes to having gay teachers — “because they will become enamored of the young nubile boys, and these gay men will turn boys gay.”
This is no different than an older man having sex with a girl whether tween or young teen, and justifying it because she had developed breasts, has a period and “consented.”
This is rape, whether it be pedophilia, or statutory, We in our modern society have laws about this, defining this. Yiannopoulos might think these as arbitrary, but they are there for a reason, not only give a base line for physically maturity, but mental/emotional maturity as well.
He has cast, whether he understands this or not, the gay man as predator and to add icing on the cake thanks the priest who molested him for teaching him how to give good blow jobs.
“But you know what? I’m grateful for Father Michael. I wouldn’t give nearly such good head if it wasn’t for him,” Yiannopoulos replied, using a euphemism for male oral sex. — Joe.My.God
He has been pushing back at this
“The videos do not show what people say they show. I did joke about giving better head as a result of clerical sexual abuse committed against me when I was a teen. If I choose to deal in an edgy way on an internet livestream with a crime I was the victim of that’s my prerogative. It’s no different to gallows humor from AIDS sufferers,” he wrote in his statement posted on Facebook. — The Daily Caller
Yes like a good Trumpian you didn’t see or hear what you saw or heard.
And the videos are edited … aargle bargle
Look back up at first Reagan Battalion tweet. That wasn’t a man making an edgy joke, that was a man defending the sexual relationship he had as a boy with an older man.
“I do not support pedophilia. Period. It is a vile and disgusting crime, perhaps the very worst,” Yiannopoulos stated. “There are selectively edited videos doing the rounds, as part of a co-ordinated effort to discredit me from establishment Republicans, that suggest I am soft on the subject.”
He added that he has exposed three pedophiles in his reporting: Louise Mensch’s former business partner Luke Bozier, anti-Gamergate activist Nicholas Nyberg and tech reporter Chris Leydon. — The Daily Caller
Here is where how he defines pedophilia is important. He is right, as he defines pedophilia he doesn’t support it. But if a 12 or 13 year old is physically sexually mature in his mind and definition it isn’t pedophilia and it’s not wrong.
On the micro what Yiannopoulos has said is to justify his own physical relationship with a priest in his mind. He needs counseling. But on the macro it is bullshit and dangerous and sets gay rights back at a time when 45s administration is hell bent for leather to go after the LGBTQ community.
